Meibomian gland carcinoma of the eyelid is an uncommon neoplasm, repre
senting less than 1% of all eyelid tumors.(1) It is relatively slow gr
owing and clinically mimics benign lid conditions specially chalazion.
This study includes nine cases of histologically proven meibomian gla
nd carcinoma, where an attempt has been made to identify the clinicopa
thological correlation, prognostic factors, and the mode and result of
treatment.
