Abstract
Reaction of aromatic primary amines with methylisothiocyanate (MITC) y ielded N-methyl-N-1-(benzelene-1-yl) thioureas which underwent oxidati ve cyclization in the presence of bromine in acetic acid, at room temp erature, affording the title compounds.
