Abstract
Current attitudes to the medical management of traumatic hyphaema were investigated by means of a postal survey. A single page questionnaire was sent to all consultant ophthalmologists in the UK who were member s of the college of ophthalmologists. The response rate was 50%. Opini on was sharply divided on the use of bed rest, padding and topical the rapy. However, there was almost universal agreement that systemic ther apy, either steroids or antifibrinolytics, were not indicated.
