Abstract
Metallic antimony catalyzes the reduction of aromatic nitro compounds to the corresponding N-arylhydroxylamines in good yields with NaBH4 un der mild conditions. The azoxybenzenes from autoxidation of N-arylhydr oxylamines were also obtained in basic conditions.
