Abstract
A list of 95 chironomid species (Chironomidae) with places of their oc currence is given. Eighty seven species arc new species for fauna of C zech Republic and Slavak Republic, eight species are new in Slovakia. Sixty three species can be held new for the region 10 (the Carpathians ) and two species for the region 11 (the Pannonian lowlands) as well ( FITTKAU, REISS, 1978). Chironomid fauna of Czech Republic and Slovakia consists now of 323 members and Slovakian fauna has 248 chironomid sp ecies.
