CROWN WEEVIL STRATOCOENOSES (COLEOPTERA, CURCULIONIDAE) ON HAZEL (CORYLUS-AVELLANA L) AND THEIR SEASONAL DYNAMICS

The author focuses on dynamics of the weevil stratocoenoses in crowns of Corylus avellana L. This woody plant often grows solitarily or in s mall groups on mesophilic meadows with predominatnt plant communities of the alliance Arrhenatherion eladoris (Br-.Bl. 1925) W. KOCH 1926 or forms ecotonal plant communities. The investigation were undertaken i n Little Carpathians (SW Slovakia) on three study areas over three veg etation periods. The species composition, abundance dynamics, species number, alpha-diversity and seasonal changes in the representation of the topic and trophic groups of weevil adults have been investigated.
