Abstract
The extraction of impurities of alkali and alkaline-earth elements and Pb from HNO3 solutions containing U is studied with the goal of their complete removal. The macrocyclic polyether dicyclohexyl-18-crown-6 c an be successfully used for quantitative co-extraction of Pb and Sr fr om nitrate solutions containing U with subsequent separation into the individual components by stripping with water. This can he used to sep arate radionuclides and determine their content in reprocessing produc ts of irradiated nuclear fuel.
