Trp-P-2 caused both DNA single-strand breaks and cell injury in rat he
patocytes. The ozonation of Trp-P-2 resulted in the suppression of its
toxic responses depending on the amount remaining in ozonated solutio
n, and the formation of glyoxal, glyoxylic acid, oxalic acid, formalde
hyde, formic acid, ammonium ion, nitrite ion and nitrate ion.
