Abstract
We have studied the H-1 and C-13 NMR spectra in solution for a series of azo compounds used as dispersed dyes. We have considered the influe nce of electronic and steric effects and hydrogen bonding on the param eters of the NMR spectra. We suggest a modification of the topological increment scheme which is suitable for calculation of the C-13 chemic al shifts in azobenzene derivatives.
