Abstract
The frequency of a dye laser has been stabilized to the optical Ramsey resonance of the Ca intercombination line (S-1(0)-P-3(1) at 657.46 nm ), with a quality factor of 10(10). The beat frequency between two las er beams, which were independently stabilized to Ramsey resonances of two different atomic beams, was measured in order to evaluate the perf ormance of our Ca-stabilized dye laser. A frequency stability of 2 x 1 0(-12)tau-1/2 was obtained for 1 less-than-or-equal-to tau less-than-o r-equal-to 100 S. The frequency difference between the two Ramsey reso nances was within +/-3 kHz over a period of ten days.
