Abstract
After reviewing the various etio-pathogenic hypotheses for pterygium i n which the discontinuity of the lacrymal film at the corneo-limbic ju nction appears to play an essential role, the authors discuss the curr ent therapeutic choices.The value and place of lamellar keratoplasty o verlapping the limbus are discussed.
