We investigate the large transverse momentum Drell-Yan process, includ
ing the effects of gamma-Z interference, al RHIC energies, as a method
of studying polarised parton distributions. Both single- and double-s
pin asymmetries are studied. It is shown that while the double-spin as
ymmetries are sizeable in the region of small dilepton masses, the sin
gle-spin asymmetries become significant at the Z peak. There is a high
degree of sensitivity to the input parton distributions. Numerical es
timates for the cross-sections at RHIC energies are also presented.
