Abstract
Oxidation states between 0 and II can be formally assigned to the five Ga atoms in the title compound 1 depending on the coordinating ligand s. Each Ga atom has a tetrahedral coordination environment; the centra l atom is surrounded by the other four Ga atoms. Compound 1 crystalliz es at -30-degrees-C from a cryochemically prepared solution of GaCl in toluene/diethyl ether.
