The paper reviews the latest data on construction and investigation of
polymeric liposomes, made on the base of polymerizable phospholipid a
nalogs. A variety of methods for initiation of polymerization reaction
s in lipid bilayers are considered. The stability of polymeric membran
es made of diacetylenic, dienic, styrenic, methacrylic, and thiolipids
is analyzed comparatively. The problems of application of polymeric m
embranes in modelling of intercellular recognition processes, in study
ing phase transitions, and in biocompartable material designing are di
scussed.
