HEPATIC EPITHELIOID HEMANGIOENDOTHELIOMA

This report concerns a case of hepatic epithelioid hemangioendotheliom a presenting with liver enlargement, multiple hepatic calcifications o n the plain abdominal film and bilateral interstitial pneumonia. Epith elioid hemangioendothelioma is an unusual soft tissue tumor of <<inter mediate malignancy>> characterized by a multicentric involvement of th e liver and originating from endothelial cells. Histopathologic diagno sis may be difficult because of possible confusion with sclerosing epi thelial tumors.
