Abstract
In order to clarify some of the relationships involved in female repro ductive functions in the pig and cow IGF-1, PDGF-A and PDGF-receptors were localized by help of immunocytochemical methods. The presence of these factors and receptors indicates a general role in the reproducti ve processes and specific expression of IGF-1 during early pregnancy i mplies a growth factor mediated communication between embryo and mothe r.
