Abstract
A complete kinetic analysis is presented of two Michaelis-Menten mecha nisms, in which the substrate is unstable. This analysis allows the de rivation of equations which relate the concentration of the product of the enzyme reaction to the time. A kinetic data analysis is suggested , leading to the evaluation of all of the individual rate constants in volved in the reaction. The analysis is based on the equation describi ng the formation of product with time and on the experimental product progress curve.
