Np. Seregin et al., ELECTRIC-FIELD GRADIENT AT COPPER SITES AND DISTRIBUTION OF THE CONDUCTIVITY ELECTRONS IN THE ND1.85CE0.15CUO4 SUPERCONDUCTOR, Solid state communications, 87(4), 1993, pp. 345-347
The parameters of the electric field gradient (EFG) tensor at the copp
er site of the Nd1.85Ce0.15CuO4 lattice were determined by means of th
e Cu-67 (Zn-67) emission Mossbauer spectroscopy. The data obtained sug
gest that the substitution of Ce4+ for Nd3+ ions involves the formatio
n of charge compensating electrons distributed among the copper sites.
