Abstract
The observation of a violet emission peaked at 390 nm from Zn-doped Cu AlS2 CrYstals is reported. The emission has been attributed to a donor -acceptor pair recombination involving native acceptor (V(Cu) with act ivation energy 0.18 eV and extrinsic donor (Zn(Cu)) with activation en ergy 0.32 eV.
