P. Albers et al., THERAPY OF ERECTILE DYSFUNCTION RESULTING FROM VENOUS LEAKAGE - LONG-TERM RESULTS OF PENILE VEIN EMBOLIZATION, Aktuelle Urologie, 24(4), 1993, pp. 205-208
We report on the long-term follow-up of 49 patients suffering from ven
ous leakage as the cause of their erectile dysfunction, who underwent
transpenile or retrograde penile vein occlusion therapy. The results a
re comparable to those of penile vein surgery, the side effects are ne
gligible. The long-term success rate of 20% (mean follow-up 19 months)
after primary successful embolisation demands a precise selection of
patients in the future.
