Abstract
The genus Jaltomata (including Hebecladus) is described. Five Hebeclad us species are transferred to Jaltomata. Jaltomata viridiflora is wide spread, from western Venezuela through Ecuador; J. bicolor and J. prop inqua occur in central Peru; J. umbellata of the Loma Formation of the Department Lima, Peru is rare; J. ventricosa is known only from the v icinity of La Libertad, Otuzco, Peru. All are montane except for J. um bellata. Included are short descriptions and illustrations.
