Abstract
A new method for the determination of the equivalent dose (ED) in mine rals has been developed, based on the unstable part of luminescence wh ich fades away at ambient temperatures. Optical stimulated luminescenc e employing green light emitting diodes is used in two cases; a refere nce quartz sample and an archaeological ceramic. In both instances the obtained (ED) with the new technique provides a satisfactory agreemen t within the expected errors.
