Abstract
Polymer coatings were produced on the surface of 30X Gamma CHA steel b y its anodic polarization in aqueous solutions of aniline, phenol, and their mixture. The effect of the coatings on the steel cathodic hydro genation in a solution of 0.05 M H2SO4 + 10 mg/l H2SeO3 at a current d ensity of 2.5 A/dm(2) was studied. It was found that the films reduce hydrogenation of steel, the coating made of aniline and phenol copolym er preventing hydrogen penetration into the metal almost completely.
