By using a single-ion crystalline electric field (CEF) model, the spin
-reorientation phenomena of (R(1-x)R(x)')Co5 (R, R' = Y, Pr and Nd) co
mpounds have been analyzed. The spin-reorientation temperatures (SRTs)
of these compounds are calculated, which can be comparable with exper
imental data. The values of the 4f-3d exchange field H(ex) and the CEF
parameters B(n)m at the rare-earth (R) sublattice in (R(1-x)R(x)')Co5
(R, R' = Pr, Nd, Y) compounds are evaluated. We also discuss the CEF
parameters of these pscudobinary compounds.
