M. Dorazio, A MACINTOSH BASIC PROGRAM FOR THE INTERACTIVE TESTING OF COMBINED ASSIMILATION AND FRACTIONAL CRYSTALLIZATION, Computers & geosciences, 19(4), 1993, pp. 483-492
An interactive BASIC computer program, written for the Apple(R) Macint
osh(R) computer, uses an inverse method approach to test if the trace-
element and isotope characteristics of two magmas can be related by co
ncurrent assimilation and fractional crystallization (AFC). The progra
m allows constraints to be determined for the values of all the variab
les involved in the AFC once the composition of two magmas and one pos
sible contaminant are entered by the operator.
