Abstract
A multi-dimensional upwind scheme defined on structured grids is propo sed in this paper. The present scheme is developed as a grid-independe nt scheme for the scalar advection equations and extended to a system of equations along with a conventional one-dimensional approximate Rie mann solver. Results for both the scalar equations and the Euler equat ions by the present method confirmed improved resolutions of discontin uities.
