Abstract
Exact solutions to the problem of simultaneous heat and mass transfer in film absorption with isothermal or adiabatic wall conditions are st udied under the assumption that the velocity profile is uniform. The r esults are compared with the more complicated solutions for a paraboli c velocity profile and various wall conditions. Solutions for absorpti on with cylindrical streams falling in steam are given.
