Abstract
The experiments on 260 male mice of colony SHK, 352 mongrel rats and 2 0 Wistar rats were carried out to study the ability of using the normo baric hypoxic stimulation method for acute radiation sickness. Hypoxic stimulation using gas mixture with 10 % of oxygen and 90 % of nitroge n was conducted for two weeks after irradiation for 30 min. every day. It is shown that under influence of ionizing radiation (7 and 5.5 Gy) the postradiation hypoxic action increased the 30-day survival rate o f mice, reduced disturbances of the qualitative composition of leukocy tes in peripheric blood, promoted more rapid restoration of thromboela stography indices and caused no reliable changes in the postradial con tent of albumin and creatinine in blood.
