VENOUS ANGIOMA WITH PAPILLARY ENDOTHELIAL HYPERPLASIA IN THE SUPERIORORBITAL FISSURE

We present the case of a 27-year-old woman with a vascular malformatio n localized in the superior orbital fissure. Histological diagnosis wa s that of a venous angioma with papillary endothelial hyperplasia. The lesion was removed completely via an intradural approach to the super ior orbital fissure with subsequent recovery of the neurological defic its. To the best of our knowledge, no such case has been reported so f ar in the literature. The radiological, intraoperative, and histopatho logical findings are presented and discussed with respect to the liter ature.
