Abstract
Physico-chemical properties, economic data and industrial applications of pyrophyllite are presented. A preliminary study and laboratory cha racterization of pyrophyllite mineral from the Carpentier deposit loca ted in Carpentier Township, Abitibi Region, Quebec, is primarily aimed at establishing the potential of this mineral as a raw material for t he building and ceramic industries.
