Abstract
Using the logarithmic wind profile under stable stratification, a clas sification scheme was obtained for the Monin-Obukhov stability length and for the wind profile power law exponent in terms of the surface ro ughness length and the Pasquill D-G stability classes, anywhere in the surface layer.
