Abstract
This brief paper considers various aspects of the famous lion figure i n Trois-Freres, as well as more general questions concerning the Upper Palaeolithic depictions of the cave lion. It also raises the matter o f the subjectivity so often apparent in the recordings of Franco-Canta brian art.
