Abstract
Redescriptions of Anonyx litoralis Kroyer, 1845 (type species of Onisi mus Boeck, 1871 and Pseudalibrotus Delta Valle, 1893), Anonyx edwardsi i Kroyer, 1846 (type species of Boeckosimus Barnard, 1969) and Parones imus barentsi Stebbing, 1894 (type species of Paronesimus Stebbing, 18 94) show that these species are ail congeneric. Consequently, Pseudali brotus becomes an objective junior synonym and Paronesimus and Boeckos imus become subjective junior synonyms of Onisimus and all species cur rently assigned to any of these three genera are provisionally assigne d to Onisimus.
