N-15 NMR studies of the interaction of N-15 cyanide ion with gold(I)-t
hiomalate (Autm) and gold(I)-thioglucose (Autg) have been carried out
at pH 7.40. The chemical shifts of the two N-15 ions containing speci
es (Au(CN)2-)-N-15 and (RS-Au-CN-)-N-15 (where RS- = tm- or tg-)were i
dentified at 265.94 and 260.30 ppm, respectively. From the broadened N
-15 NMR signals, approximate life times of the RS-Au-CN- species were
calculated.
