As chemists, we are well aware of the need for constant change in our
field of research. When it comes to teaching, however, the old standby
of chalk and blackboard seems to be the only method of teaching. Usin
g the latest in advanced multimedia, we are able to generate an exciti
ng and visual demonstration of the basic concepts of chemistry. This p
aper will include a general review of the equipment used in our multim
edia classroom and the instructional techniques used in lecture.
