Abstract
The enantiomeric compositions of alpha-pinene, camphene, beta-pinene, sabinene, limonene and beta-phellandrene were determined in 10 differe nt tissues of Norway spruce, Picea abies. The xylem of root, trunk, br anch and twig as well as the phloem of root and twig, oleoresin, needl es of different age and male and female flowers were analysed by multi dimensional GC. Large differences in enantiomeric composition of the c hiral monoterpene hydrocarbons were found between the tissues. The rel ative amount and enantiomeric composition of limonene in branches chan ged during storage.
