Abstract
Two new triterpenoid saponins zygophylosides D and E have been isolate d from Zygophyllum propinquum. Their structures were elucidated as -0- [beta-D-2-0-sulphonylquinovopyranosyl]-quinovic acid and -O-[beta-D-2- O-sulphonylquinovopyranosyl]-quinovic acid-28-O-[beta-D-glucopyranosyl ]ester, respectively, by spectral and chemical studies.
