Abstract
Fatty acid methyl esters (FAME), mainly C16 and C18, were found in neu tral leaf lipids of fourteen species out of fifteen ones analyzed. The se FAME were characterized by TLC and GC-MS, and quantittion was made by GC. Composition varied from 0.06 to 1.82 % by weight of extracted l ipids. Fungal origin of the FAME was suggested
