A. Kirk et al., THE NATURE OF THE PHASE-TRANSITION FOUND IN THE ELECTRICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF HIGH-T(C) THIN-FILMS, Superconductor science and technology, 6(5), 1993, pp. 360-367
The current-voltage characteristics of high-quality YBCO thin films de
posited onto MgO have been measured in both zero and finite applied ma
gnetic fields. The wide dynamic range of the measurements, the high ex
perimental precision and the observation of extremely well defined pow
er law behaviour below the phase transition temperature have enabled u
s to demonstrate that vortex glass scaling does not occur, and that 2D
vortex unbinding provides a better account of the results.
