Dv. Ramana et P. Mahalakshmi, PROXIMITY INTERACTIONS IN 2,2'-DISUBSTITUTED DIPHENYL ETHERS UNDER ELECTRON-IMPACT CONDITIONS, Indian journal of chemistry. Sect. B: organic chemistry, including medical chemistry, 32(6), 1993, pp. 651-657
Very interesting fragmentations due to proximity interactions between
the substituents at 2- and 2'-positions are noticed in disubstituted d
iphenyl ethers (1-12) under electron impact conditions. The fragmentat
ion pathways are established with the help of high-resolution mass spe
ctrometry and linked-scan (B/E and B 2/E ) Spectra. The ion structures
are confirmed through the collision acivated decomposition spectra.
