Abstract
Permeation rate observations are reported which demonstrate the influe nce of lattice expansive strain gradients in producing nonlinear hydro gen concentration profiles through cross-sections of hydrogen diffusio n membranes under ''steady-state'' conditions of hydrogen permeation.
