Abstract
The isolation of the indole alkaloids uncarine E (17), C (16), D (21), glabratine (29) and deoxycordifoline (30) from the fresh bark of Unca ria glabrata DC. (Rubiaceae) is reported. The high-field H-1 and C-13 n.m.r. spectra of these uncarines as well as uncarine B (14) and mitra phylline (12) are recorded and interpreted.
