Ss. Ramdasi et al., SIMPLE METHOD FOR THE SIMULTANEOUS EVALUATION OF COMBUSTION AND SELECTIVE OXIDATION CATALYSTS, Journal of chemical technology and biotechnology, 57(2), 1993, pp. 109-112
The conventional rapid combustion technique used for microanalysis of
organic compounds has been modified for the simultaneous evaluation of
combustion and selective oxidation catalysts. Using this technique, M
nO2 has been confirmed to be a good combustion catalyst. It was also p
ossible to conclude that Fe2O3 and V2O5 are good selective oxidation c
atalysts at 250-degrees-C and 300-degrees-C, respectively. This simple
and rapid method offers much scope for probing into the mechanism of
oxidation of hydrocarbons.
