Abstract
Lipase was immobilized in highly crosslinked polyacrylamide gel by pla sma-initiated polymerization of acrylamide and N, N'-methylenebis-acry lamide. The main product in the ester synthesis of glycerin and oleic acid by this immobilized enzyme was monoglyceride, making it clear tha t this enzyme had high selectivity to the esterification reaction syst em. The conversion of the esterification was improved by control of wa ter content in gels.
