Av. Sineva et Ve. Smorodin, CORRELATION BETWEEN ELECTRICAL-CONDUCTION AND MICRODROP SIZE DISTRIBUTION IN THE OCTANE WATER SODIUM DODECYL-SULFATE PENTANOL SYSTEM, Colloid journal of the Russian Academy of Sciences, 54(5), 1992, pp. 745-748
The phase (structural) transitions in the octane-water-sodium dodecyl
sulfate-pentanol system were investigated. The average hydrodynamic an
d most probable (effective) microdrop sizes were found in a wide range
of values of the volume fraction of water PHI (from 0.02 to 0.83) by
photon correlation spectroscopy. The applicability of the cell model f
or describing the specific conduction as a function of the effective m
icrodrop size in the region of low PHI above the conduction percolatio
n threshold was established.
