Abstract
A new synthetic route to prepare mono- and poly-tin(IV) complexes with the oxalate anion is reported. It behaves either as a mono- or bichel ating terminal ligand, or as a bi- or tetra-unidentate bridging ligand , according to the experimental conditions. Possible structures for th ese complexes are proposed on the basis of IR and Mossbauer spectrosco pic data.
