A polar-organic mobile phase system composed of acetonitrile, with sma
ll portions of hydrogen bonding modifiers, was developed for the enant
iomeric separation of chiral molecules on cyclodextrin-bonded phases.
This mobile phase mode allows for the separation of a wide variety of
analytes which cannot be resolved in either traditional normal- or rev
ersed-phase modes on cyclodextrin-bonded phases.
