U. Loffler et al., MANUFACTURING OF HIGHEST CONCENTRATED QUA SIPELLETS BY SPHERICAL CRYSTALLIZATION OF IRON(II) SULFATE, Die Pharmazie, 48(5), 1993, pp. 356-359
For the example iron(II) sulphate, a process for the manufacturing of
spherical cristalls is described, which produces iron(II) sulphate in
DAB quality with a yield of about 70% in the fraction range of 0.5-1.0
0 mm using iron(II)sulphate in technical quality as raw material. Beca
use ferrous sulphate in technical quality shows different behaviour fo
r different batches of raw material, the influences of additions of sa
me and foreign ions on the particle-size distribution of the spherical
cristallisation process were determined and quantified. With the aid o
f these results, possibilities for optimization of yield in the prefer
red fraction range in spite of using lower quality of raw material wer
e obtained.
