Abstract
The time-dependent simple harmonic oscillator arises in many areas of physics where the interaction term has been linearized and has a coeff icient depending on the independent variable. We review the integratio n of this problem, introduce new applications from the study of genera lized Ermakov systems and give some numerical results which are not ge nerally available in the literature.
