Abstract
Proteinase activity was found to be associated with histones in rat th ymus and liver nuclei. Administration of hydrocortisone to animals inc reased the activities of proteinases bound to histones of thymus nucle i. During intensive transcription and replication in regenerating rat liver, activation of histone-bound proteinase was also observed.
